Taft's love for sports was nurtured at the age of a child, having been raised in a sports-oriented family. She played at different levels in both school and college however, she ultimately made the decision to become a broadcaster. Taft, who graduated from Boston University in broadcast journalism with a focus on the reporting of sports and regional affiliation started her career as a reporter for Fox Sports North. While working on sports coverage, she was employed as both a social-media contributor and live host. Since she first began being employed by Fox Sports 1, her team of News and Highlights, Taft was pushed to the side. Taft was a reporter for FS1 that covered a variety of important competitions. She was also the college's sideline reporter. In the following years, Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt were appointed as the head of the coverage of college football. The moment she became famous was when she was invited to take over into the role of moderator for the well-known TV series Skip and Shannon Undisputed in 2018 a post she holds until today.
